What can end pinned on the wall of an artists studio, what books lay on the shelves? IM projects will launch the series Artists Shelves, a publication which will be a series of collages made by artists. They will not be part of their work, but they will gather their influences, random discoveries and obscure collections. A substantial part of contemporary practices are based on research, unknown archives and found material that is carefully selected to produce a final piece. IM projects will ask several artists to show their gathered material that never became a work and re- use it for our Artists Shelves project in the form of a visual or written collage.
