PASCAL COMELADE
Y SU ORQUESTA DE INSTRUMENTOS DE JUGUETE
COMELADE, PASCAL
Self-taught, Comelade considers himself a non-musician who reclaims the subversive, iconoclastic and ironic spirit of the avant-garde. His reinterpretations of rock-and-roll as well as Catalonian and Mediterranean popular music achieve an unmistakable, melancholic and festive sound. Creator of the Bel Canto Orchestra, Comelade has released more than twenty CDs and played the most prestigious alternative music festivals throughout Europe and Japan. Composer of the music for a number of films and stage productions, Comelade has worked with artists and musicians such as Bob Wilson, Frederic Amat, PJ Harvey and Robert Wyatt. The book presents a collection of images featuring his collection of toy instruments as well as his new CD: ´Del Canigó a Tokio.´
